Tips for Supplying Photographs and Art
Types of Photographs:
The photograph supplied may be film negative, print or digital. With a print the larger the better up to final size of subject being silhouetted, the negative of the print will typically scan and produce better results. With a digital file we recommend an 8-megapixel photograph or higher resolution for 8x10 final photographs, 4 to 6-megapixel may yield good results for 5x7 prints, but will typically not be good quality for an 8x10 final.
Photographing Tips:
For best result try to photograph subject against a solid color background that does not blend with the subject. Blending would be shooting an individual with black or very dark hair against a black or very dark background. We can separate in such extremes, but the results may not be as great as with a planned photograph with detail areas.
Logos/Artwork Specifications:
To supply logos for creating backgrounds, please specify if you would like us to make it a backdrop or an upgraded 3D object for different view creations. Original artwork should be either vector based artwork or high resolution pixel based as you would have with photoshop files. Dimension for high-resolution would be preferred long side of at least 2000 pixels to avoid re-construction of artwork.
